Payroll and Benefits Specialist

As a Payroll and Benefits Specialist, you will be a vital member of our team, responsible for managing payroll processes, administering employee benefits, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Join us and play a key role in supporting our employees

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Administers payroll processing procedures and maintains supporting files and documentation.
  • Processes garnishments as required by law.
  • Performs benefits administration to include communicating benefit information to employees, enrolling and terminating employees in plans and approving invoices for payment.
  • Maintains employee 403(b) participation data and ensures accuracy of data between payroll systems and 403(b) administrator.
  • Assists in maintaining human resource information system records and personnel files.
  • File quarterly unemployment report and 941.
  • Process end of the year reports including W-2 and 1095-C.
  • Maintains copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates and other required documents for all licensed and certified staff. Notifies staff of upcoming expirations of certifications.
  • Maintain and conduct all matters in a highly confidential manner.
  • Has knowledge of internal HR processes including onboarding and termination

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred.
  • Minimum of three years experience with payroll processing
  • Experience with payroll management systems is helpful.
