Technical Project Manager

Job Overview

FTAI Aviation’s Innovation Group is the company’s strategic hub for developing future‑focused technologies. The team supports day‑to‑day operations while identifying and delivering improvement initiatives that drive both financial and technological growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end‑to‑end planning, execution, and delivery of complex innovation projects related to artificial intelligence, MRO shop applications, and software development.
  • Introduce and implement new technologies that enhance shop efficiency, improve data visibility, and reduce engine turnaround time.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders across engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, finance, and leadership teams.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Proactively identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Drive cross‑functional alignment and clear communication at all organizational levels.
  • Track project performance and provide regular progress updates to senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace process engineering, production engineering, or process engineering.
  • Proven experience introducing new processes or industrializing new products within aerospace, MRO, or advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMP, Lean).
  • Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Aviation or manufacturing industry experience is a strong asset.
