The ScotiaMcLeod Branch Manager is responsible for the development and achievement of defined business priorities for the Branch through the profitable delivery of superior client service and holistic wealth solutions to high and ultra‑high net worth clients and businesses.

The incumbent is responsible for leading and coaching the branch team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide a wide array of total wealth management solutions and motivate advisors to exceed sales growth and profitability goals. Develop and execute branch business plans and growth strategy: Serve as the primary leadership contact for the branch, broaden and deepen client relationships by bringing together the expertise and resources of Scotia Wealth Management, and develop and maintain an external Centre’s of Influence network for business referrals.

Lead the sales/service management strategy: Oversee compliance management for the Branch: partner with Compliance and National Supervision to execute business priorities/initiatives in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

manage the branch profit plan (e.g., support client experience issues and the formal complaints process.

Motivate and develop individual and team performance: Foster a strong, positive team environment, drive business development, innovation and high engagement; conduct internal communications to keep employees aware of key projects and corporate goals; identify and support training and development needs; Expert knowledge of the wealth management advisory industry and influencing factors.

Exceptional wealth advisory business development and leadership experience of at least 10+ years in the industry.

Well‑developed network of senior stakeholders and advisors.

Superior leadership and management skills with the ability to collaborate across all divisions.

Expertise in sales management techniques.

Proven change agent with business building, general management, team motivation and communication skills.

Post‑graduate business degree (e.g., MBA) and a CFA (or equivalent) is an asset.

Required education, examination, training, and experience to be registered as a Supervisor with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO); Competitive Compensation and Benefits package including annual incentive plans, time‑off entitlements, Pension Plan, Employee Share Ownership Plan and favourable employee banking rates.
