Part Time Dog walker in Downtown Toronto

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Dog Walker to join our pet care team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors, have a passion for animals, and provide exceptional care and attention to our clients' dogs. This role offers an opportunity to build relationships with pets and their owners while ensuring safe and enjoyable walks. The Dog Walker will be a key part of maintaining our reputation for reliable and loving pet care services.

Waggr services clients in downtown Toronto, in Cabbagetown, Regent Park, Distillery, Old Town, Annex, Queen's Quay, and Leslieville.

You MUST live in one of the areas to be considered for the position.

Responsibilities

  • Take dogs on scheduled walks, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the outing
  • Follow specific instructions provided by pet owners regarding walking routes, feeding, or special needs
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment during walks, including cleaning up after pets
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners about their dog’s behavior or any concerns during walks
  • Provide basic companionship and reassurance to dogs during walks, ensuring they are comfortable and happy
  • Report any health or behavioral issues observed during walks to the appropriate supervisor or pet owner

Requirements

  • Passion for animals and previous experience with dog walking or pet care is preferred but not required
  • Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with pet owners and address their concerns
  • Reliable transportation to travel between client locations if necessary
  • Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments safely and confidently
  • Excellent time management skills to adhere to scheduled walk times
  • Physical ability to walk outdoors for extended periods, often in varying weather conditions
  • Responsible, punctual, and trustworthy with a genuine love for animals

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
